Description

Penn State Abington is now accepting applications for an Education Program Associate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to manage a portfolio of educational programs/initiatives from concept to marketing to management and evaluation for Youth Programming. Function as the campus lead in K-12 programming, including Kids and Teen College summer camps, as well as make recommendations for enhancing ongoing and proposed programs focusing on youth STEM education. Abington's Kids and Teen College gives area youth the opportunity to use the college`s resources to participate in unique and exciting learning experiences. Additional Responsibilities would include: Developing and maintaining relationships with academic units, organizations, school districts, industry and agencies to determine programming needs; planning and/or coordinating marketing materials for educational programs and services; preparing and submitting various reports; and developing, monitoring and managing budgets. Role may include other duties as assigned. Occasional evening and weekend work hours required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Experience using social media for marketing helpful. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for six months from date of hire with possibility of re-funding. www.abington.psu.edu
