Description

The Penn State University Schreyer Honors College is seeking a higher education Data Analyst to support the development and implementation of a college-wide assessment strategy including Honors education, admissions, and long-term student outcomes. This position requires expertise relevant to conducting research needed to inform decision-making by performing data extraction, information analysis, and other research of data. Additional duties will include testing, implementing, and troubleshooting the use of the new technologies to facilitate data collection and improve data quality; assisting with the review of data for errors and resolving data issues; administering internal and external surveys; preparing data analysis summaries for distribution in college-specific communications; assisting with academic records processing for Scholars, and troubleshooting issues as necessary. The successful candidate must be a team player who is highly organized with strong attention to detail, excellent communication and analytical skills. The individual must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently while observing deadlines and maintaining a high level of professionalism. Experience with statistical software and databases are essential. The Schreyer Honors College is a multicultural environment that embraces equity and inclusion. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
