This position will be serve as the Financial Officer for Office of Global Programs, reporting to both the Corporate Controller and the Vice President for Global Programs, and will provide leadership in management of financial and budgetary matters for the unit, including strategic planning, financial analysis and reporting and financial stewardship with accountability for sound financial management of the unit. Responsibilities include all general financial management, budgeting, policy and procedure interpretation, guidance and compliance, oversight of financial systems and related approvals, general salary increase process, working with unit in the development of individual budgets as well as components of the overall unit budget, and monitoring budgets to ensure planned resources are available to meet strategic objectives and coordination of internal audits and risk assessments. This position will also serve as the liaison to central University offices in the areas of budget, payroll, risk management, purchasing and others as needed. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge in financial and budget management, analysis and forecasting, and strategic planning. Position will be fully accountable for the sound financial operation of the Global Programs office and requires a high degree of self-direction, strong leadership skills, ability to lead and manage, and a strong commitment to inclusionary practices which support diversity throughout the University. Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are required, as well as the ability to use diplomacy and advanced communication skills to persuade and influence a variety of people to achieve results. Ability to manage complex problems crossing multiple functional areas ranging from policy/procedural issues, risk/legal matters and negotiations. Experience with IBIS, ISIS, are desirable.
