Description
Penn State’s Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a Business Operations Manager to manage the Downtown Ticket office in the day-to-day operations. Primary responsibilities include the hiring and supervising of part-time staff, the daily reconciliation of sales, and supervising on sale-days, as well as evening and weekend performances. The position also oversees several of the Center for the Performing Arts specialty programs, including the New Faculty and Staff and the Sight Loss Support Group tickets. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success working in a fast paced environment and the ability to multitask. Candidates should be computer proficient including Ticketmaster Archtics and data warehouse, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about working in the Performing Arts. Proven ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure. Display a genuine desire to help people and customer-focused attitude. Utilize excellent communication and listening skills and work well within a team environment. Ability to promote and maintain positive relations with donors, faculty, students, and the general public. Must be able to work non-traditional hours, which include evenings and weekends. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
