Description

The Curriculum Specialist develops instructional and primarily web-based content for the Pennsylvania Center for the Book’s outreach efforts, including the Literary and Cultural Heritage Map of Pennsylvania; ‘A Few Good Women’ Social Studies Curriculum; the Family Literacy Curriculum; and A Baker`s Dozen: The Best Children`s Books for Family Literacy. The Curriculum Specialist also develops learning materials related to The Center’s other projects, including the Public Poetry Project, the Lynd Ward Graphic Novel Prize, and the Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award. The Curriculum Specialist collaborates with the Center for the Book Director and Assistant Director to promote and connect PA Center for the Book instructional content with librarians, teachers, and other educational partners regionally and across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Curriculum Specialist works collaboratively to support all of the PA Center for the Book initiatives as needed.
