Description

Invent Penn State is seeking a marketing and communications intern 10-15 hours per week for Spring 2018 semester to assist with entrepreneurship events and programs, including Penn State Startup Week, Inc U, the Venture and IP Conference, Summer Founders Program and more. The intern will assist staff in the Office of Entrepreneurship and with student-centered promotion, event set up and tear down, public speaking and service announcements and communications with managers, collaborators and attendees. The ideal candidate will have marketing and event experiences and excellent written and verbal communications skills. The candidate should feel comfortable working in a professional office environment, using email, talking on the telephone and possibly doing public speaking events for small to mid-size student groups. Use of various Microsoft office software and programs—word, excel, powerpoint and calendar tools is required. Familiarity with advertising, social media platforms and marketing is helpful. Hours: 10 - 15 per week
