The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is seeking a leader for a newly created Associate Director position. The position will help to lead one of the largest fraternity and sorority communities in the country and specifically oversee all of the office’s leadership development, educational programming, training, and assessment initiatives. Reporting to the Director, the Associate Director will work closely with the staffs in both the Fraternity and Sorority Life and Fraternity and Sorority Compliance offices to build a model fraternity and sorority community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising an Assistant Director of Training and Development and an Administrative Support Assistant; aiding the Director in ongoing strategic planning and execution of the office’s mission; planning and implementing leadership programs such as the Emerging Leader’s Summit, Officer Academy, and Transition Retreat; developing educational programs on topics including alcohol abuse, bystander intervention, hazing, new member education, sexual assault prevention, and values-based chapter operations; and coordinating the Standards of Excellence process and the issuing of the Greek Chapter Score Card. Successful candidates must have a demonstrated record of collaborating with students and implementing leadership and educational programming. They must also demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and be able to collaborate with partners both internal and external to the University. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
