Description

The Office of Physical Plant is seeking a Maintenance Planner to effectively facilitate the planning efforts of associated with the removal and/or remediation of Asbestos containing materials, and other known hazardous building/utility materials to be a part of the team, planning and scheduling the maintenance of building and utility systems. The qualified applicant must be licensed in asbestos removal, understand safe methods for remediation of mold, lead, PCB, and other hazards. Candidates must have a solid understanging of construction and a strong background in managing ACM removal. The selected candidate will be planning-estimating, corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance, and new equipment installation work orders, in Maximo’s CMMS program. Knowledge in reliability based maintenance strategies, and experience in condition monitoring techniques is required. This Maintenance {lanner will perform initial job screening, analyze job requirements, conduct job research, build details job plans containing detailed work order(s), align job plan detail by task, project labor deployment plan by craft and skill, generate bill of material, procure non-stock parts, and communicate any coordination efforts in the scheduling of work. The selected candidate will be required to: contribute to process improvement initiatives, attend continuous education training, and support PSU/F&B/OPP organizational programs. This individual will be accountable for parts procurement, drawings/prints, sketches, photos, and other technical references that the assigned crew may have need for when completing to work order safely. Strong computer skills are essential. Prior experience with a CMMS is preferred. Excellent communication and collaborative work skills required. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Building Code certification in one or more disciplines preferred. 30 hour OSHA certification preferred. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background check.
