Description

This position will work in undergraduate admissions and represent both the campus and the university in recruitment and admissions tasks. Responsible for communicating with prospective students and families through the admissions process, duties including but not limited to phone calls, emails, and campus visits/events. Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all admissions requirements and procedures. Manage application follow-up by running reports, develop communication strategies to reach students with active applications, and maintain reports/spreadsheets for special populations. Evaluate and analyze credentials on students’ applications. Work and collaborate with other University unit/campuses to develop and deliver a consistent message to prospective and current students during the enrollment life cycle. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in college admissions (i.e. admissions counseling and/or student tour guide background) is considered a plus. Overnight travel in state and out of state, and evening/weekend work are required. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects is critical. Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Prezi is necessary. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with good possibility of re-funding.
