Description

Responsible to the Associate Dean for International Programs of the Smeal College of Business for assistance with the organization, coordination, and development of international program activities including but not limited to: consulting with and assisting students with international program information, site selection, and course selections for education abroad choices. Assist international and exchange students incoming to the Smeal College. Guide students in completing the application and fulfilling the requirements of the International Business Minor. Assist with the management, review, and implementation of the International Business Minor within Smeal’s undergraduate curriculum. Develop brochures, announcements, proposals, and other documents dealing with international programs, international business and the International Business Minor. Provide orientation and information sessions to Smeal students in order to expose and entice students to include education abroad opportunities as part of their Smeal programs. Maintain records and statistics where needed for international programs. Compile reports and documentation on international programs within Smeal and Penn State. Greet and host counterparts from foreign universities. Assist the Associate Dean to achieve the strategic goals of internationalization of the Smeal College. Typically requires a Master’s degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Knowledge of Penn State’s IT environment including LionPATH, Starfish, Box, Zoom, Adobe Connect and Canvas is advantageous. Fluency in one or more other languages is also a plus. This is a wage payroll part-time appointment working a maximum of 24 hours per week during mid-August through May (this position will have the summer months off).
