Description

The Human Research Technologist (HRT) will be responsible for study coordination of various research studies within the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. Responsibilities will include the following: recruitment and scheduling of participants for studies, informs subjects/participants about the research studies in accordance with established protocols, phone screening of potential participants , maintain subject participant database records/track resources to assure efforts are in compliance with study guidelines, assist the Principal Investigator with IRB regulatory compliance (study start up, amendments, continuations , adverse events and study close out). The HRT will manage the project finances including purchase of supplies for the specific project. Ensure specifications and source documents are obtained for study. The HRT will oversee updates on Manual of Operations, data collection forms and websites associated with project, coordinate meetings, phone conferences, minutes and presentations for study. The HRT will maintain a collaborative relationship with administrators, faculty and staff. The position requires attention to detail and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.
