The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine Administrative Support Coordinator will perform a wide variety of complex research administrative and office functions and/or specialized technical support of academic and research needs; oversees the research activities of the office and ACGME programs, such as setting priorities, coordinating, planning, prioritizing, and identifying research activities that required support; correspondence, research trackers, solving research related problems; administers promotion and tenure documents; prepares, controls, and manages research budgets; maintains budget expenditures and approves financial transactions; evaluates effectiveness of research activities; provides assistance and compiles and analyzes data for a variety of reports, grants, contracts and programs; writes and edits various reports, publications and articles; receives, verifies and validates information; greets visitors; and obtains/provides assistance; maintains calendars and schedules; coordinates business functions of the research unit that include: processing expenses, CME, office coordination, and supporting many varied research faculty endeavors. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
