Penn State Learning is seeking qualified undergraduates interested in providing tutoring for small groups of students taking 100 level and lower online Math courses. Candidates must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with Penn State and must have earned an A- or better in Math courses. The candidate should have effective communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to communicate in a supportive manner, be respectful of difference in culture and learning styles and help students with subject content according to their strengths. The candidate must also be fluent in reading, speaking and writing English. The candidate must have good computer skills, including the ability to use the internet and email with ease and be able to quickly learn and utilize a range of digital communication technologies. Appropriate training in tutoring and the use of distance learning technologies will be provided by Penn State Learning.
