Position Description: The Applied Research Laboratory is looking for talented, experienced, and highly motivated undergraduate students to assist in the development, testing, and transition of Java based software systems during the 2018 summer semester (May-Aug). Candidates will work within an agile environment to develop and deliver quality software solutions. As part of the team, the candidates will be responsible for the development of Java based web services including aspects of server, client, and web components. Mandatory Position Description Requirements: Students must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information, Science and Technology. Experience in technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (noSQL) data bases as well as a solid understanding of data structures and object-oriented design (OOD) concepts is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are key to working within this team environment. Although this is a summer position, there may be an opportunity to start prior to the summer semester and continue into the fall semester. Job Requirements: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply.
