Description

The Undergraduate Admissions Office is looking for current PSU students to participate in its shadow program. The program, called Life@State, allows high school seniors to shadow a Penn state student for a few hours to provide a better perspective on what life is like at Penn State. The office will offer approximately 10-15 programs throughout the spring for prospective students to sign up for. Each day will require a time commitment of 4-5 hours for 2-3 prospective students to follow you around through classes and lunch. Lunch will be provided to you by the Admissions Office, and training on the requirements of hosting students on campus. In order to be a candidate, you need to have 1 to 2 classes that fall between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on any day of the week (Monday through Friday). The pay will be $9.50 per hour. Preference will be given to candidates that are current members of Lion Scouts, SMART, or Lion Ambassadors; past summer tour guides; a student involved in a college ambassador program; and NSO staff; previous Life@State hosts; or welcome weekend staff. Please attach a resume with your current club and organization involvement. Also, no cover letter is required, but in that slot, please attach a copy of your class schedule.
