This position will assist the Director and Associate Director with overseeing the residential dining program at University Park, which includes five dining commons and numerous retail operations (convenience stores, snack bars and coffee shops) to serve over 14,200 on-campus students as well as off campus students, faculty, staff and guests. This position has a heavy focus on student engagement which includes: leading a central hiring office that hires over 1,400 student coworkers each year, coordinating the recruitment effort for student coworkers and interns, supervising/developing student staff in sustainability, public relations, social media, and video, and overseeing all internship programs. The Senior Assistant Director will also serve as liaison and coordinator for student events, projects and presentations. This position will work on department-wide initiatives, work with on-campus partners and oversee multiple committees on a wide range of topics, some of which include safety, sustainability, student success, and community outreach. Nights and weekends are required and vary in frequency depending on time of year. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in a hospitality, business or a nutrition related discipline or higher plus seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
