The MRSEC – Center for Nanoscale Science at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position in the area of complex oxides. The successful candidate will participate in Interdisciplinary Research Group (IRG) 1 titled Designing Functionality in Layered Oxides at the Center for Nanoscale Science. This project will involve complex oxides, layered oxides in particular, conducting original research, and working with graduate students and collaborators within the center. The ideal candidate should have experience in electrical, optical, and structural (electron microscopy, diffraction) of materials, and in working with multidisciplinary research groups. Experience in clean room nano fabrication and electron/optical microscopies is preferred. Requirements include a Ph.D. in the field of materials science, physics, chemistry, or related fields.
