Description

The Penn State Altoona Dance program invites applications for part-time Dance Faculty for the 2018-19 academic year. Applicants should be able to teach Hip Hop and one additional dance technique: Jazz, Modern, or African. A minimum of a Bachelor degree with supported evidence of performance, training and teaching experience is required. A Master’s degree with university-level teaching experience is preferred. Applications must consist of a cover letter; a CV (including performance record, teaching experience, previous residencies, training, and the names and contact information of three references); an artistic statement, no more than one page in length; a sample syllabus of the course the applicant would like to teach; a DVD or electronic submission of performance, teaching, or choreographic works (no more than three); a DVD script containing pertinent information on the submitted works in the following order – title, date of performance/teaching, venue of performance/teaching, performers (group – student, professional, community).
