The Professional Personnel Development Center for Career and Technical Education (CTE) invites applicants for full time instructors beginning July 1, 2018. Instructors will provide field-based teacher preparation and supervision of new CTE teachers pursuing state Vocational Instructional I certification. Successful candidates can also expect to assist colleagues planning professional development events, make professional presentations at state CTE conferences, and hold weekly office hours at University Park. Work will be performed both individually and as part of a team of central PA secondary schools, on campus, and on line. Required qualifications include a Pennsylvania Vocational Instructional II certificate or equivalent, a minimum of three years CTE teaching experience, and a valid driver`s license. In order to be considered for this position, the candidate must be enrolled, or have intent to enroll, in full-time graduate or undergraduate degree studies in Workforce Education and Development. Practicing teachers eligible for educational leave-of-absence from their professional positions are encouraged to apply. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
