Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) at Penn State is seeking an energetic and experienced Administrative Support Coordinator to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Responsibilities include: maintaining calendars and schedules, coordinating the day-to-day operations and administrative activity of the office, making travel arrangements, helping plan special events such as seminars and programs. This position also includes working with contacts across the university to research issues such as proposal deadlines, project goals, organizational structures, funding sources, and partnerships. Supervising and directing the work of administrative support personnel is also an essential component of this position. The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be highly motivated, organized, and detail oriented. Demonstrate high commitment to diversity, customer service, and communication skills as well as proven multi-tasking abilities. Typically works independently on complex work assignments; may also supervise and delegate work to TLT support staff. The successful candidate is able to exercise discretion and excellent judgment while managing confidential information. Proficiency is required in standard computer applications and programs, email, calendaring and file management. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
