Penn State Berks Information Technology department is seeking reliable individuals who are motivated, work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills for the position of Student IT Consultant. To be considered for this position, applicants must be a full-time Penn State Berks student, have basic computer knowledge and exceptional customer service skills. Student IT employees assist customers with their PSU access accounts, setting up connections for WiFi access and wireless printing, loaner laptops and installation of anti virus and malware software. Other job responsibilities may include setting up AV equipment for on-campus and off-campus events and equipment replacements throughout the year, which requires using a department van or IT Carts. Additionally, students may be required to troubleshoot classroom technology-related issues and answer incoming calls to the campus. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required.
