Description

The individual in this position will function as a member of the administrative support assistant team providing administrative support for multiple World Campus Program Coordinators within the Learning and Performance Systems Department (LPS). Specific responsibilities include: process applications for prospective master and certificate students; monitor deadlines and related activities; collaborate with others within the department and administrative offices of the college and university; respond to a variety of internal and external inquiries about policies and procedures; compose and edit correspondence and meeting minutes; maintain confidentiality of various correspondence, files, and sensitive issues; create, collect, maintain, and manage digital and paper files, databases and other data sources for reports; coordinate other projects and processes as assigned by the Program Coordinators; assist with Promotion and Tenure process. Experience with LionPATH, CollegeNet, GRADS, IBIS, iTW0, and Activity Insight is desirable. Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel and Access, and knowledge of University policies and Graduate School are preferred. Additional tools used in the job include WordPress, MailChimp, Qualtrics, and social media platforms. Previous experience in an academic unit is helpful. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills; and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of professionalism. The individual should be able to work both independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision and have demonstrated ability to interact with diverse members of the public, as well as students, staff, and colleagues within the University. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
