The Evidence-based Prevention and Intervention Support Center (EPISCenter) in the Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center (PRC) at Penn State University, seeks to fill an Administrative Support Assistant role to provide support to, and be a part of, the team responsible for the statewide rollout of the Standardized Program Evaluation Protocol (SPEP), an initiative to apply evidence from meta-analysis to strengthen and improve programs and services for juvenile offenders in Pennsylvania. The job responsibilities for the Administrative Support Assistant involve coordinating, facilitating, and supporting the activities of the SPEP team as follows: monitor and maintain SPEP budget, track expenditures, process budget revisions, and assist with budget preparation and projections; coordinate meeting and travel arrangements and process expense reimbursements; create and maintain files, databases and reports related to the SPEP project and SPEP assessments; develop new processes or procedures relevant to the support needs of the SPEP team; establish procedures for handling and maintaining confidential and other data and materials; assist in preparation of communications and training materials, and website maintenance; research and write drafts for project reports, newsletters, performance reports; compile and organize materials for meetings, including agendas, invitations, schedules and minutes; other general administrative activities as needed. Candidates should possess a solution-focused, problem-solving skills, can-do attitude. Must be well organized and have project management background/skills. Seeking a self-starter with the ability to work well in teams and maintain high-levels of motivation and self-direction in independent work. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and web-conference software (Adobe Connect, Zoom, others). Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An Associate’s degree or higher is preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
