The Division of Science and Engineering, Penn State Abington seeks a fulltime, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate computer science and engineering majors; be actively involved in campus service; and develop a robust research program involving undergraduate students, including participation in the Abington College Undergraduate Research Activities (ACURA) program (more information can be found at Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level, and those with expertise in any of the following areas: Computer Organization and Architecture, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Programming Language Principles, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or Computer Security. The review process will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The desired start date is August 2018.
