Penn State University Libraries at the Berks College Campus is accepting applications for an Information Resources and Services Supervisor/Manager to join the staff of the Thun Library. This position serves as the Public Services Coordinator managing and providing assessment for public services relating to circulation, reserves, interlibrary loan, library technology, and general public services in the Library. Major responsibilities include: providing leadership, supervising, and hiring staff and student workers; creating, maintaining, and updating the information desk schedule and services; providing staff support in the areas of library technology, project management, social media presence & outreach, and serving as the on-boarding partner for human resources. The person in this role works collaboratively with University Libraries and Penn State Berks departments; represents the library in University Libraries and Penn State Berks committees and activities, and supports multiple public service projects as well as special initiatives. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday with some regularly scheduled evening hours required. Days/hours are subject to change according to departmental needs (e.g. library hours, over intersession, breaks, and holiday periods). Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
