Penn State Harrisburg seeks applications for a full-time Arts Production Specialist to assist with production services in its theatres. The Assistant Arts Production Specialist will serve in daily operations, set-ups, breakdowns, events and theatrical shows. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have professional experience in one or more of the following areas: lighting, sound, multimedia projections, scenery design and construction, back of house management and/or events and operations. The applicant should possess strong collaboration skills and be expected to interact with a variety of clients, such as faculty, staff, students or community members. This individual should have strong leadership skills and be able to communicate with clients on needs for their event or production. Must have technical theatre operation experience: including theatre lighting, sound, set design and scenery construction. Knowledge of theatre Inventory methods, along with maintenance of theatrical equipment is preferred. Must be able to flex schedule to work nights and weekends to supervise and run events. This is a fixed-term appointment funded through December 31, 2018 with possibility of re-funding.
