Description

The Pennsylvania State University College of the Liberal Arts, University Park campus, invites applicants for tenure-track appointments beginning Fall 2018 in the following departments and programs: African Studies; African American Studies; Anthropology; Applied Linguistics; Asian Studies; Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies; Communication Arts and Sciences; Comparative Literature; Criminology; Economics; English; French and Francophone Studies; Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures; History; Jewish Studies; Labor and Employment Relations; Philosophy; Political Science; Psychology; Sociology; Spanish, Italian and Portuguese; and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. We offer a competitive compensation package. Required qualifications include a demonstrated interest in and capacity to do research publishable in top-tier journals, a high level of teaching competence, and an earned doctorate (entry-level candidates must have completed all of the degree requirements by the appointment date).
