Description

The Department of African American Studies of The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for part-time lecturer positions for the Spring 2018 semester. The start date is January 2018. Part-time lecturers will teach undergraduate resident and/or online courses in African American Studies. A Master’s degree in a related field is required. Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in the discipline may be assigned to teach upper level undergraduate courses. These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments. Part-time lecturers normally teach one to two courses per semester. To be considered for this position, applicants must submit a letter of application detailing relevant qualifications for this job, a curriculum vitae with the name and contact information for three references, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
