Description

Penn State Lehigh Valley is now accepting applications for an Education Program Associate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to manage a portfolio of educational programs/ initiatives from concept to marketing to management and evaluation in the following outreach areas: Adult Education, Youth Programming, Pre-college, and Workforce Development. Function as the campus lead in K-12 programming and continuing education for teachers as well as make recommendations for enhancing ongoing and proposed programs such as the Penn State Lehigh Valley Writing Project. Additional Responsibilities would include: Developing and maintaining relationships with academic units, organizations, school districts, industry and agencies to determine programming needs; planning and/or coordinating marketing materials for educational programs and services; preparing and submitting various reports; and developing, monitoring and managing budgets. Role may include other duties as assigned. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred. Ideal candidate will possess State of Pennsylvania Secondary Education Certificate and have knowledge of or affiliation with the National Writing Project. Since this position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of the job duties, a valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required, in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
