Penn State Altoona invites applications for Fall 2018 for one full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position in Information Sciences and Technology. We offer a baccalaureate degree in Security and Risk Analysis with an emphasis on Information and Cyber Security. We seek candidates with educational and industry experience in information technology, preferably with a background in information systems security or risk management. In addition, the college seeks candidates with strong communication skills, and evidence of significant research and knowledge in computer science, information technology and/or risk management. A Ph.D. degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is required. The successful candidate will teach courses in the areas of information security, networking, decision theory, computer forensics, introductory information technology, databases and traditional computer science programming courses. Applicants should present a record of effectiveness in teaching, research and service, and/or promise of potential effectiveness in those areas. Candidates should have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, research, student recruitment and retention, and curricular development and assessment.
