Description

The Energy Science and Power Systems Division of the Applied Research Laboratory is seeking an undergraduate researcher to perform materials characterization on novel powdered fuels. The research will include the use of characterization tools such as; electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, and power rheology. Prior training in materials characterization is preferred but not required. We are seeking students in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering. The selected candidate will work 20 hours per week during the Fall/ Spring semesters and up to 40 hours per week during the Summer. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen to apply and may be subject to a government security investigation. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
