Description

The Justice and Safety Institute is seeking applications for a paid internship to a qualified undergraduate in the following majors: Criminology and Sociology, Communications or Business (Smeal). Intern will work with the Criminal Justice Professional Training Associate Director to conduct direct incoming and outgoing contact with potential class participants, help develop marketing materials, perform research and provide research abstracts. They will also participate in weekly team and individual meetings. In order to be accepted into the internship program, applicants must be current full time students with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Criminology and Sociology majors must complete a minimum of 150 hours on site to obtain 3 credits. Communication and Business Majors must complete at least 100 hours onsite to participate and there will be no credits awarded to them. Start date is Spring Semester 2018. Rate of pay is $7.25 an hour.
