This position is for Abington Undergraduate Students only. University Relations at Penn State Abington is responsible for marketing and strategic communications that enhance the reputation of the college and university throughout the region. Our strategies promote positive engagement and our diversity with key external audiences. We also uphold the university’s brand identity, advance Penn State’s high-quality academics, research, global reach and student experience. As an important strategic unit at a Penn State college in the Philadelphia market, UR supports the campus’ goals by attracting high quality students from the across the region and the world. The Digital Content Intern (DCI) will have the opportunity to learn, support, and assist in a variety of marketing practices. Duties include: photography, writing, and posting in social media. Other tasks include: recording videos, editing website, supporting special events and web and social media metrics reporting. The DC Intern will learn how to run social media metrics and Google Analytics, and report relevant statistics to colleagues. The DCI may also support UR marketing with the following digital responsibilities: Update the Campus TV Monitor system. Update the events and announcements on website; Stream live events to website. Preferred skills include: Basic HTML. Experience with DSLRs, Photoshop. Video and video editing skills. Proficient writing and verbal communication abilities and knowledge of social media platforms. 3 Credits. $9.50 hourly rate.
