Assistant Athletic Director 1
The Office of Student Affairs and Athletics is seeking a full time assistant athletic director. This position will be responsible for contributing to the advancement of the goals and mission of the athletic department. This position will supervise and train assigned coaches, staff and student employees. This position will be responsible for running the fitness center, the intramural sport program and managing the gym schedule. Experience with managing websites, social media and promotion will be important. This position will assist with recruitment activity, fundraising events, academic success programs with athletes, reporting and community building both on campus and in the community. Overall, this position is designed to assist the athletic director in their work. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher , or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have experience with game management, including coordination of officials, concession, game set up, assisting with coordinating competition schedules, eligibility of athletes and budget management. Excellent written and oral communications skills are a must. This job will require some evening and weekend hours and overnight travel at times. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire likely for renewal.
