Penn State Mont Alto is accepting applications for a highly organized and self-directed individual to be their Registrar. The Campus Registrar reports to the Academic Officer and supports the academic services functions of the campus in cooperation with the campus faculty, administration, and the Office of the University Registrar. The Registrar will develop and publish the schedule of classes and final exam schedule, and provide data in support of day-to-day operations including reviewing and approving requests for change of campus, withdrawals, leaves of absence; reviewing and processing exception petitions; coordinating graduation activities; maintaining liaison with appropriate University offices; and meeting with students, parents, faculty, and staff to share information, answer questions, and resolve problems. Will access business intelligence tools to produce enrollment reports in support of academic and administrative decisions. Assist campus leaders in interpreting, communicating, and implementing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with University, State, and Federal policies and procedures related to student records, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Supervise and evaluate assigned staff. Facilitate communications and relationships between administrative and academic units. Work with others to improve administrative information security and protect Penn State data. The successful candidate will have a history of commitment to student service, evidence of experience collaborating with faculty and staff, and familiarity with contemporary software used to support Registrar functions.
