A polished, driven, and results-oriented professional is needed in the role of Annual Giving & Stewardship Coordinator to be a part of building and re-energizing a fundraising and alumni engagement program at Dickinson Law. Dickinson Law is one of the nation’s oldest law schools and a modern leader in legal education that produces profession-ready lawyers with a commitment to service and the skills to excel in an increasingly global market. This position is based on Dickinson Law’s historic campus in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, only twenty miles from the state capital in Harrisburg and an easy drive to Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, forthright but tactful, willing to contribute to routine and higher-level needs of the office, and driven by challenges and opportunities to strengthen and/or refine the existing development and alumni relations program. She/he will possess integrity, be a good listener, demonstrate an appreciation for working with diverse audiences, embrace the Dickinson Law vision and mission, and have an aptitude for building and maintaining relationships. Reporting directly to the Dickinson Law Director of Development and Alumni Affairs and working closely with other development and alumni staff and academic leadership, the Annual Giving and Stewardship Coordinator will: participate in the strategic and long-range planning for new initiatives and programs designed to enhance alumni relations and stewardship activities; coordinate and support efforts to steward, cultivate, and expand the donor base through the implementation and execution of annual giving strategies and outreach; successfully secure annual gifts; manage special projects designed to increase donor participation; build and maintain key donor relationships through the coordination and oversight of all aspects of the stewardship program; manage donor relations and stewardship activities; coordinate donor recognition events and initiatives; assist with planning and executing on- and off-campus alumni and donor engagement activities; coordinate endowment management; oversee gift intake processes; prepare and track donor acknowledgements; assist with the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and management of major gift prospects; support volunteers and volunteer boards; analyze and interpret research data on graduates and other key constituencies; assist in the development and production of communication tools, proposals, and reports; prepare regular progress reports; assist with travel planning for the development director; and maintain records and files. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Some travel may be required. Operation of a motor vehicle as part of the position’s duties and a valid driver's license are required. Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check, in addition to standard background checks, is also required.
