The Schreyer Honors College is seeking an individual to assume recruitment and admissions responsibilities on behalf of the Schreyer Honors College. Responsibilities of this position include: Attend college fairs and visit high schools in the US on behalf of Penn State and the Schreyer Honors College; attend receptions and special recruiting events, both on and off campus, in collaboration with the Penn State Undergraduate Admissions Office; participate in special recruiting events targeting high-achieving high school students; review applications to the Schreyer Honors College; counsel prospective students and families regarding enrollment at Penn State and the Schreyer Honors College; conduct assessment and analysis of all recruitment events; conduct large and small group presentations to prospective students and families; perform other related duties with prospective and new student as required, including alumni interview program, new student orientation, advising and other student programs. This position requires significant domestic travel throughout the year. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills are essential with the ability to manage concurrent projects required. Successful candidate will be able to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and work as a collaborative team member. Strong customer service skills are essential with proven competency speaking in front of large groups. Outstanding computer skills are required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Prezi; FileMaker database skills also preferable.
