CREATE Resource Library at Penn State New Kensington (5 - 15 hours per week). Here`s a way to make money and gain relevant work experience! May be most relevant to students of IST, EMET, Engineering, BMET, Corporate Communication, or Education, but others are encouraged to apply. Learn about STEM-based project and new creative technologies in use by local school districts. Gain real experience while enhancing communication and technical skills in a professional environment. The ABC CREATE Intern will work to support ABC CREATE, a STEM education project engaging 15 local school districts. The Resource Assistant tasks will include but not be limited to the following: Assist with preparing, maintaining, and lending of education technologies to local teachers participating in ABC CREATE. Guide lenders with the proper use of educational technologies. Assist with promoting ABC CREATE and related opportunities to community, school districts through websites, social media, and prepared documents. Assist with ABC CREATE Showcase. Requirements: Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Able to demonstrate skills in writing, troubleshooting, problem-solving. Must be enrolled at least part-time at Penn State New Kensington. Able to communicate effectively through email, phone, and in person. Able to navigate social media, websites, and an inventory spreadsheet. Able to learn to use creative technologies well enough to assure proper functioning.
