Description

Receive incoming calls for the University main information line. In many cases, being the first point of contact for prospective students and Friends of Penn State. Assist customers with University information and operations. Coordinate and process various conferencing services. Provide phone support services for University departments. Maintain accurate database records. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills together with a strong teamwork commitment are required. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate initiative. Varied shift work between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. are rotated between staff averaging one weekend every six to eight weekends and one holiday per year. Selected candidate would work on average 20 hours per week.
