The School of Public Affairs (SPA) at Penn State Harrisburg invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in public and nonprofit management to start August 2018. The SPA seeks a scholar with teaching interest and experience teaching nonprofit management. The successful candidate will contribute to the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program and the PhD program in public administration. Applicants for this position should have an earned doctorate in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management or a related discipline and must provide evidence of, or potential for, a productive research agenda. The J.D. is not a substitute for the doctoral degree and will not be considered a terminal degree for this position. The successful applicant must qualify for membership on the Graduate Faculty of The Pennsylvania State University: The NASPAA accredited MPA program is designed for those with career interests in public management, health and human services, government, and other public service and nonprofit organizations. It prepares students for careers in the public sector, in government-related businesses, and in non-profit organizations, as well as for graduate work in the fields of public administration, nonprofit management, criminal justice, public policy, political science, and health care administration. The SPA offers additional undergraduate programs in Criminal Justice, Health Policy and Administration, Political Science, and Public Policy, and additional master`s programs in Criminal Justice, Health Administration, and Homeland Security.
