Description

This position will provide support for the email and calendaring enterprise system for Penn State, Office 365, and the collaborative suite of applications within the platform. This includes providing a robust service for email, calendaring, and collaboration tools to support all faculty, students, and staff at the University. It requires tenant administration, staying abreast and implementing new applications, provisioning and deprovisioning accounts/users, and troubleshooting and resolving issues. Additional job duties include: supporting the Office 365 tenant to enable Penn State faculty, students, and staff to access and utilize the platform for email and calendaring functions with integration of the collaborative tools of the suite; coordinate and integrate provisioning of user accounts with Penn State's identity management systems; ensure risk profile of the service aligns with standards and policies; design, test, modify, and implement improvements and changes to the Office 365 tenant to provide the highest level of service and support to users; and monitor performance, capacity, availability, and service of Office 365. In addition this position will evaluate and implement future enhancements and new applications of the Microsoft suite and develop technical and functional requirements, allocate system resources, and manage documentation, implementations and integrations with other enterprise systems. Lastly this position will be responsible for connecting with colleges, campuses, and administrative units to provide support capabilities to ends users and technical staff as well as communicate changes within the tenant administration that will impact service offerings. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
