We are seeking a Human Resources Consultant (HR Generalist) to support several Penn State campuses in the Southeastern region of Pennsylvania including Abington, Brandywine and Great Valley. This position will be an excellent opportunity for someone with entry-level HR experience looking for the next step in career advancement. The incumbent will be involved and support the transition of transactional activities to the new HR shared services center and will serve as an onboarding partner at the campuses. This position will coordinate a wide variety of human resources activities across multiple human resource functions including: employee/labor relations, equal opportunity, organizational development, talent management and acquisition, diversity initiatives, total rewards, and compliance monitoring, but it will also be responsible for routine office administration such as records management and filing. This position, reporting to the Regional Human Resources Strategic Partner, operates with discretion within established guidelines. It will support the three campuses previously mentioned with travel expected to all three campuses on a weekly basis, with the majority of time split between Brandywine and Great Valley. Travel to Abington is expected once per week. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Office experience required. Prior experience working in higher education is a plus. Since this position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of the job duties, a valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required, in addition to standard background checks.
