Join our dynamic customer oriented team in the stimulating environment of The Pennsylvania State University at the AAA 4-Diamond rated historic Nittany Lion Inn. This key position is responsible for the overall management of and maintaining assigned systems and facilities, including assessing needs, overseeing equipment, hiring, training, supervising a dedicated maintenance team as well as relationships with key technical vendors. Responsible for developing and managing strategic capital budgets and plans, associated regular operating budgets including regular expense monitoring and forecasts as well as submitting any required approval paperwork required by the University such as work orders and the like. Will be responsible for maintaining all mechanical and telecommunications systems, assessing needs and planning maintenance of same. Able to develop and maintain a detailed preventive maintenance program for all building facilities, mechanical and physical space, to assure seamless operations. Schedule staff and equipment to meet workload requirements, cost effectiveness and maintain year round support operations for facilities. Also responsible for security of all facilities maintaining and monitoring PSHS Key security, pagers, radios and parking permit program and establishing policies and procedures for the same. Act as a liaison with groups using our facilities and other PSHS departments, police services, emergency services, environmental health and safety and risk departments of the University assuring compliance with university wide policy and procedure to the same. Oversee landscape, snow removal, pest control and sanitation. Meet regularly with regulatory officials such as the Fire Marshal, and other state inspectors as required.
