The Information Technology Services Division of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University (PSU) is seeking a Systems Administrator for the Computing Services Department to manage Macintosh endpoints, as well as share responsibility to manage Windows and Linux endpoints. Responsibilities include: Develop and/or implement solutions for OSX installation, software deployment, local system policy management, account management, management of full disk encryption, and management of Apple mobile devices; participate in process development and improvement efforts; and upper-tier end user and endpoint support functions. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences and Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is desired. Experience in the administration and support of Windows and Linux systems, mobile devices, and end user applications on all referenced platforms is preferred. Prior experience in a DoD or another highly secure environment is highly desired. Requirements include: A proven track record in the development and/or implementation of solutions for the administration of Macintosh endpoints in an enterprise environment via automation and centralized management; experience in documentation generation, staff training, and ongoing administration and support; and the ability to function at a high level, both autonomously on individual efforts, as well as in cross discipline team environments. Personal attributes should include: Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, to solve problems; and strong customer service skills.
