The Management Entity for Pennsylvania (PA) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Education (SNAP-Ed), a federally funded program providing nutrition education to low-income audiences across the Commonwealth, seeks an Evaluation Associate/Nutritionist. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and training to partner agency staff, monitoring nutrition education projects, and conducting on-site reviews based on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) federal guidance and Pennsylvania (PA) SNAP-Ed policies and procedures. This position also assists with statewide evaluation activities to assess the effectiveness of direct education and Policy, Systems, and Environmental change interventions implemented by local partners. The evaluation associate/nutritionist assists with review of nutrition education project proposals and evaluation activities for the annual SNAP-Ed statewide plan and plan amendments. This position serves as proposal manager – coordinating revision requests and communications between local partner agency staff and PA SNAP-Ed Management Entity staff. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to those with a Master's Degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field. Registered dietitian status is preferred. In state-travel will be required. Since this position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties, successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
