Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus Office of Outreach and Continuing Education invites applications from individuals interested in teaching non-credit classes. Various short-term courses, in a variety of topic areas, will be offered during the day, evening, and on weekends at the campus in Lemont Furnace or at selected off campus locations. Classes can meet one or more days per week and the length of class time can vary from a minimum of 2 hours to a maximum of 8 hours per day. Most classes meet for 3 or 4 sessions. Instructors will be needed in the following subject areas: training programs for business and industry, various levels of computer training, conversational languages, arts and crafts, engineering, mining, Marcellus Shale topics, mandatory Continuing Education required by professional groups, courses for human and social service providers, real estate, similar state certification programs, and other new evolving areas of workforce development. Instructors should have at least a Bachelor`s degree and work experience in the program content area. Teaching experience with adult students is preferred. Pay for these classes is determined based on the frequency and duration of each class with no University benefits.
