"Internship Plus" is a program in Finance and Business Information Technology that aims to help students gain experience and create a career path, based on their own interests and experiences. Full time summer positions provide a means for students to get a sampling of work across an enterprise IT organization. Part time positions during the academic year provide students with the ability to get a more focused view of a particular IT organization and discipline. Students may participate as wage employees or as interns (for credit or not for credit). Finance and Business is a service organization that supports Penn State students, faculty, and staff, and is seeking candidates for wage and internship positions for the 2017-2018 academic year. The organization is responsible for the planning, management, and stewardship of the University’s human, financial, physical, and environmental resources for the university. Candidates interested in participating in the program should reference the job posting number that corresponds to the position listed below, in the header of their cover letter. Candidates with cover letters that do not include the reference number will not be considered. During the Fall/Spring semesters, interns may work up to 20 hours per week. Specific work schedules and hours per week will be discussed between employees and supervisors. Second and third year engineering students are encouraged to apply. AUXILIARY AND BUSINESS SERVICES – POSITION #201: Auxiliary and Business Services is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to assist with project management around enterprise technology-related projects. This position will be responsible for field and office work such as coordinating project resources and contractors, assisting with project documentation, and organizing and assisting with project controls and budget management. The preferred candidate will be pursuing a degree in a technology or engineering related field. OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES – POSITION #301: The Office of Human Resources is seeking an energetic and self-motivated intern to assist the Information Technology staff with various IT-related projects including our e-Signature initiative and other HR technology related initiatives. Candidate will also be asked to flowchart IT process, learn and provide reports from the IT Service Management tool and assist with supporting newly implemented HR Technology. Successful candidate should be able to work 10-15 hours per week at our Innovation Park location.
