The Nittany Lion Club in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an Accounting Assistant. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving. Responsibilities include processing, depositing, recording, and reconciling all Nittany Lion Club gifts; assists with assigning reserved and preferred parking for football; assists in generating reports as needed; provides customer service via phone, in person, and email. This position serves as the primary liaison with the analytics specialist to develop strategies for efficient solicitation within the annual fund. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Experience with gift processing including previous experience using AWA and Microsoft Suite software applications is preferred. The successful candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills and demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
