The Pennsylvania State University College of Nursing seeks a recognized leader with a robust and active program of research to contribute to the mission of advancing science and knowledge translation, to promote clinical care and health policy change. The successful candidate will have a research doctorate with a focused and ongoing program of research, and a documented commitment to team science, teaching excellence and outreach. The College provides a supportive environment for research and seeks to extend our portfolio to emergent areas of science. Penn State College of Nursing is among the top schools of nursing in country in NIH funding with robust programs of research in such areas as end-of-life and palliative care, aging and cognition, dementia and delirium in older adults, person-centered care, child and adolescent health, and organizational change in complex systems. We offer a network of 12 campuses in rural and urban communities across the state. The College of Nursing actively collaborates with the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Excellent opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty in the Colleges of Medicine, Health and Human Development, and several academic centers within the University including the Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, Child Maltreatment Solutions Network and Penn State Health at the Milton S.
