The Pennsylvania State University College of Nursing at University Park seeks junior faculty with a program of research that contributes to the advancement of nursing science and knowledge translation of health promotion and healthcare strategies, Tenure Track faculty will also contribute to the mission of teaching excellence. The successful candidate will have a research doctorate and an active and focused program of research with potential for attracting extramural funding,as well as a documented commitment to teaching and service. Further, we are seeking a colleague who is interested in contributing to the diversity mission of the College and the University. Penn State College of Nursing is among the top schools of nursing in the country in NIH funding with robust programs of research in such areas as end-of-life and palliative care, aging and cognition, dementia and delirium in the older adults, person-centered care, child and adolescent health, as well as organizational change in complex systems. In addition, the College of Nursingis a co-leader in the Penn State CTSI. Excellent opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty and international researchers in the College of Nursing Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, as well as the Colleges of Medicine, Health and Human Development, and several academic centers within the University and beyond, including the Child Maltreatment Solutions Network and Penn State Health Milton S.
